Dear Cecil & all,
I am very new to feng shui, and I am trying to research. But I am stuck very early on:<) Some of the books I've seen tell me to determine the orientation of my apartment based on the entry door to my apartment unit, and some say to base it on the way the majority of windows are facing (which in my case corresponds to the main entry to the building). I have a three foot wide door facing north into a courtyard, and 13 feet wide space of windows facing south (and 2 feet window facing west). All the foot traffic is on the south side. So, am I in a Li House, or Kan house.
I'm also assuming that the straight path west from the front door to the bathroom is not advisable. Will a partition or screen or even a large tall piece of furniture like an armoire be enough to redirect the qi?
Thanks, Tina
