Dear Elena,
Yes, when one changes the roof of a house, one should change the birth chart.
But if the house is already under Period 7 (this period, for example if the house was built in 1985 and recently, there is a change in the roof), it will still be a period 7 house.
If the house was built in 1980 (Period 6) and there is a recent change in the roof, then the house should take on a Period 7's house.
