Dear Seema,
In my opinion, this area has to do with `beliefs' than Feng Shui.
It is said that Feng Shui has an influence on a specific area of our `luck'. There is more towards, Earth Luck.
`Luck' is diverse and it is said that there are many types of luck.
A `genuine' gift can be considered a positive statement and whatever we do or feel, should be positive.
Feeling `positive' e.g. about our environment such as reminisent of a gift i.e. such as lauging buddha in your culture, could perhaps give a good feeling.
Being positive is good even if it does not have a direct relationship with Feng Shui.
Contrary to the belief that we should place our eggs into one basket i.e. Hoping that Feng Shui can do us good, it is good to place our HOPE into other `baskets'.
Thus, usually there is nothing magical about a laughing buddha figurine, but if it can help us feel more positive... this is good.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

User's Comments I would like to offer compliments. you have a great web site offering excellent content. its focused and comprehensive and distinguished in the field. In the English speaking world, your services are one of the best I have seen. I understand you are offering a commercial service, concurrently you also make available informative services to a very large audience, which is excellent. I feel saddened that there are those western modern stylists who claim to practice fengshui. browsing the on-line sites of these con-artists, they are mere fronts for hawking goods at crazy prices. I am only curious of how to drive these bad elements out, as they are degrading a very well practiced tradition and cultural asset. Best Regards, Scott Chen 8 November 2003 |
